Celebrating Hispanic Entrepreneurship and the American Dream

Bienvenido’s Empresarios

Oct 10, 2024

Bienvenido’s Empresarios Coalition hosted a powerful luncheon that brought together two of the most prominent Hispanic business leaders in the country: Javier Loya, Chairman and CEO of OTC Global Holdings, and Bob Unanue, President and CEO of Goya Foods. The event served as a platform to celebrate Hispanic entrepreneurship during Hispanic Heritage Month.

The event, held at Tavola Ristorante in Houston, Texas, opened with remarks from Abraham Enriquez, Founder and President of Bienvenido, who highlighted the growing trend of Hispanic voters shifting towards conservative values and the importance of Hispanics starting businesses at a rate three times faster than the general population. Citing key polling data, Enriquez emphasized that Kamala Harris is on track to deliver the worst performance with Hispanic voters of any Democratic candidate in recent history, while President Trump is poised to make historic gains within the community. “Hispanic voters care about jobs, economic growth, and safety,” Enriquez remarked. “And that’s why leaders like Javier Loya and Bob Unanue are standing up today to defend policies that deliver economic prosperity.”

Javier Loya, a proud first-generation Mexican-American and the first Hispanic owner in the NFL, spoke passionately about the opportunities America has provided him. Loya’s rise from humble beginnings to becoming the CEO of one of the largest commodity brokerage firms in the world underscored his belief in the power of economic policies that promote opportunity for all Americans. "The policies under President Trump have paved the way for businesses like mine to thrive," Loya said.

Bob Unanue, CEO of Goya Foods and a longtime advocate for Hispanic prosperity, echoed Loya’s sentiments. As the leader of the largest Hispanic-owned food company in the United States, Unanue shared his belief that President Trump’s policies align with the core values of faith, family, and freedom that are central to the Hispanic community. Unanue also took the opportunity to announce the launch of his latest book, Blessed, Donald J. Trump, and the Spiritual War: How the Battle for the Soul of This Country Began with One Word. In his remarks, Unanue emphasized the need for strong leadership to combat the rising issues of human trafficking and drug exploitation that disproportionately affect Latino communities. “We have a responsibility to protect our communities and bring this country closer to God,” Unanue stated.

Bienvenido’s Empresarios is proud to champion pro-business values and will continue striving to support and uplift Hispanic entrepreneurs in every way possible. Together, we explore the blueprint for success, resilience, and the values that have propelled our community forward. This gathering not only reinforced our shared commitment to entrepreneurship but also highlighted the impact we can make when we unite for a greater purpose. The Empresarios Coalition will continue to be a driving force in mobilizing Hispanic business leaders across the nation.
